Before the bush camp was developed, the property was named after the guest accommodation.
The lodge has two options
1. A fully self-contained guest suite with a king-size bed, a large en suite with a walk-in shower, and a large walk-in robe. The separate lounge/dining area has a big television and a comfortable lounge suite. A 15m magnesium lap pool is available for lodge guests.
The kitchen has all you'll need to whip up your favourite feast, but we do recommend the Grand Hotel in Howard for at least one meal. Don't bring too much with you; you'll be tempted by the bakery too!
The guest suite is super comfortable, even for a longer stay. Your dog is welcome too!
Bookings can be made through https://airbnb.com/h/gtlh-guestsuite
2. For shorter stays, we have a guest room. It has a QS bed, air con, and a deck overlooking the pool. The bathroom is a good size, and there is a kitchenette with a bar fridge and microwave. The room has its own entrance off the breezeway, opposite the guest suite, and is divided off from the main house. No dogs in here, sorry!

The adults-only Bush Camp was designed specifically for travellers who have everything on board and don't want to pay for facilities they won't use!
Set on 40 acres in the bush, among the gum trees, offering peace, privacy, and security. Simple and affordable, and super peaceful. The only thing that will distract you is the wildlife!
There are 3 dams on the property, and the 6 deck sites around 2 of the dams offer great water views. Our powered deck sites are the only ones in Australia, as far as we are aware!
Most of our 50 sites have power and water.
Fire pits are available throughout the property. BYO wood. Fire restrictions may apply in summer.

The lack of facilities is what keeps the costs, and your fees, down.
Council restrictions mean we are unable to have tents, camper trailers or swags here. External shower tents are not permitted.
A grey water tank is not a requirement.

George and Debbie built this property in 2020 after selling their caravan park in the Whitsundays the year prior. With almost 30 years in the industry and plenty of comments from their guests about what they needed, they established this bush camp for the over-50s travellers who didn't want to pay for facilities they don't use! In 2025, they decided to welcome all adults in self-contained vans.
In their downtime, they like to travel themselves and have a cute vintage van!
